Investing in Mountain Science: A European Endeavor
The €5.4 million project, with €3 million in EU funding, is a testament to Europe's commitment to scientific excellence and sustainable development in remote, mountainous regions. Expanding Horizons: Upgrading the Observatory
The upgrades are designed to elevate the Observatory's research infrastructure, accommodate more international teams, and support cutting-edge experiments. One of the key components is the extension of the Dauzère/Soler building, which now provides accommodation for up to 30 researchers, fostering long-term campaigns and collaborative work. The building also features a seminar room and a central control room, enhancing scientific exchange and telescope operations.

The environmental platform has been doubled in size, offering improved working conditions for researchers studying atmospheric physics. SPIP will analyze stellar magnetic fields and exoplanet environments, advancing our knowledge of star-planet interactions.
