This historic track has hosted the All-Star Race for the last three seasons, but this year's 450-lap event promises to be something special.

And this is the part most people miss... The test day wasn't just about fine-tuning setups. It was an opportunity for new team dynamics to gel. Four teams debuted new driver-crew chief pairings, including Kyle Busch and Jim Pohlman at Richard Childress Racing, and Erik Jones with Justin Alexander at Legacy Motor Club. Even veteran teams like Hendrick Motorsports, represented by Chase Elliott, used the day to prepare for the challenges of racing in the summer heat.

"The power boost won't hurt the entertainment value, but it will make us work harder. Today's grip levels are high, but even after 40 laps, there's noticeable wear. Come July, with warmer temperatures and more cars on the track, we'll see some real challenges. Goodyear's tire changes last year were a step in the right direction, and I think we're moving towards making long runs more demanding," Elliott explained.

For new drivers like Daniel Suárez, joining Spire Motorsports, the test day was a chance to build chemistry with his crew. Suárez was pleased to have a familiar voice in spotter Frankie Kimmel, but the rest of the experience was brand new.

"It's been incredibly productive. Learning to communicate, understand the car, and improve is key. I have a list of things to work on, and the main focus is making sure we're all on the same page. It's a whole new world when you get behind the wheel," Suárez shared.
