Rookie Drake Powell's steal and Clowney's two free throws sealed the deal, making the final score 112-109.
Brooklyn's early lead of 42-38 in the second quarter should have been more substantial, but Matas Buzelis' missed fast-break dunk attempt kept the Bulls in the game. Clowney's three-point plays and Porter's 3-pointer extended the lead to 17, but Egor Demin's free throws ended the run at 57-38.
The teams will meet again on Sunday in Chicago, where the Bulls will look to even the series.
